At first i was wondering is it too late to teach her to sign? But after i went to the Parent Workshop
then i know it's never too late....because they will still reap some of the benefits of learning sign
language. As soon as i started to sign with Anna when she was 18 months++ she started to copying me
straight away. Her favorite sign is more, thank you, dog, drink, eat..
And now I'd been potty training her. She really loves the All Aboard Potty Training DVD, My Baby Sign
Favorites DVD and also likes to play with her Concept Cards. Now she know how to sign for potty
whenever she wanted to go pee.

Richie now still in the progress of learning, he started to acknowledge few things like fish, fan ,
light , mommy, daddy, ball, mummum, stop, No, byebye, baobao(carry)...and outdoor he will point to sky,
moon,bird.. and some create myself like give, come, up, no more,... but he is still not signing back
all properly, only can understand la... He is now busy learning to walk all by himself...haha. I also
hope that he can catch up faster, so we able to communicate to each other well.

I guess Mia is very well in babysign ye...my Richie is still in the progress. Infact he understood lots
words but yet cant speak and sign only can point. He is always refuse in signing, he rather point to
the objects each time i mentioned...huh...but i found one thing is good, that baby who learnt babysign
really helps in brain development , he can understand much more compares to those who dint learn. He
now have more desire to watch the babysign VCD compare to one month ago, he was so concerntrated during
his movie time..hihi...and he will have little reactions seems like he wanted to be the Copy Cat la..
May be is my fault as well, because recently i have been so tiring, thus, i didnt put much effort in
teaching him but i still keep on it. ...and i hoping one day i can see Richie sign back to me.

Good to hear Richie is progressing well.. As long as you continue to model d signs everytime u talk to
him, he'll catch up... Mia now is expert oledi... she can put 2 signs 2gther (make into sentence)..
it's been really fun. I'm running out of idea of signs to teach her... have to find more signs from ASL
dictionary... i bring her to zoo to get her interested in animal signs.. planning to take her to UMS
aquarium n Rasaria animal farm oso... (maybe u can do dat oso..) But, learn d signs 1st lah... monkey,
elephant, bird, fish, turtle etc..

"I started to babysign with my baby when she was 3mths old, simple signs like milk,
sleep, light, daddy, mummy & bath. She started to respond when she was 5mths old by smiling n
wiggling her hands & legs n looking at d object which i've sign. Her 1st signs was light, bye-bye n
Gong Xi Fa Cai n started to understand each simple sign i taught her at 6mths. Now at 8mths old she's
doing babysigns like light, fish, hug, bye-bye, shake hands & clapping hands. Now she's so happy in
catching up with the other signs & her fav movie is the Baby Signs Favourite DVD & started to
laugh & clap hands while watching it during her meal time."
